St. Laurence Chapel’s recently elected Board Chair, Kathy Bass, has been active with the Chapel in various capacities since its inception. She is the owner of Bass Reporting Service, Inc. a Ft. Lauderdale court reporting agency, which has been in business for 36 years.

In addition to her board position, she is the Volunteer Coordinator and especially enjoys working with new volunteers, giving tours and speaking engagements throughout the county.

“St. Laurence Chapel Day Shelter is a vital and integral part of community outreach, recognizing the homeless in our midst. We do good work and strive to do more each day with compassion and understanding for those who struggle with chronic addictions, mental illness and those unable to interpersonally relate, as well as those suffering as a result of the economy. Our goal is to provide basic human needs, without judgment.”
